Chez Jeannette

July 19, 2009

If you’re in Paris this summer and want to experience one of the most “in the know” bistrot, head for Chez Jeannette. I’ve heard a lot about this place for months, maybe too much, to the point i was a little reluctant but finally went for a lunch last week. Good surprised. Very authentic atmosphere, in the middle of the working-class 10th district, good food, intresting mix of people. Of course, expect a gathering of the hypest parisian crowd when the night fall…

First time to the recently opened restaurant Derrière, 69 rue des Gravilliers in the 3rd district of Paris, by Andy Walhoo and 404 owners. Hype, friendly, chaotic and sophisticate at the same time. A motorbike in the entrance, a ping-pong table in the middle of the room, unmatching furnitures mixing all kinds of styles from vintage to contemporary design. A very refined “mess” that works nicely. At the 2nd floor, interior is like an appartment, you can even sit on the bed to have diner. French style food is pretty good. take the Egg as a starter, a must!
